With the new Genshin Impact Update comes a lot for the fans of the Open World RPG.

It’s available since 28th August 2024.

For example these three Characters each from a different Tribe of Natlan.

Mualani

Mualani is a brand new 5 star character from the People of the Springs.

This tribe’s known for it’s hot springs and offers a relaxing vibe. You want to conquer the waves or play some beach volleyball? Then this is your destination to be!

Mualani likes water sports as you can see, when you fast travel her with her „Sharky’s“ surfboard. Thanks to her elemental skill you can surf on water and also on land for a greater speed.

When fighting with her surf board Mualani converts her normal attacks into „Sharky’s Bite“ that makes powerful hydro damage. When making contact with enemies, she can mark them and gain stacks. Up to a max of 3 stacks, Mualani can unleash a reinforced bite with significant damage.

Kinich

Kinich is the second 5 star character we get with the new update. He’s from the Scions of the Canopy tribe whose inhabitants are known for the great skill to navigate through jungles, forests and reaching high places with ease.

For each extreme sport enthusiasts among you or every person whose just enjoy breathtaking views this is your perfect destination.

Thanks to his elemental skill Kinich can use a grappling hook to fast travel above land, water and in the air so you can reach higher places and overcome gorges.

He also is able to fight with the hook. He links the target and initiates loop shots.

Kachina

Last but not least comes an all new 4 star character named Kachina.

Kachina is from the Children of Echoes tribe located in the canyons of northeast Natlan.

In this tribe you can find a stage, that serves as the heart of their entertainment. Here are many talents showcasing their skills and passion in the art 0f dancing.

Kachina summons a Turbo Twirly for riding and climbing walls. It also unleashes ground-slam attacks to deal AoE Geo DMG in combat.

Kachina is a free to get character by completing the first act of the Natlan Archon Quest.

Is you… a… saurian?

With each new tribe in version 5.0 comes three types of saurians, that players can indwell. One per tribe.

First comes the Koholasaurus.

They share the hot springs and flowing waters of joy and relaxation with the People of the Springs tribe.

After indwelling a Koholasaurus you can dip into the hot springs and learn the beauty of the seaside from a new perspective.

Second is the Yumkasaurus.

By demonstrating unparalleled agility in reaching higher terrain this saurian is beloved by the Scions on the Canopy tribe.

Thanks to an unique organ the Yumkasaurus can be dragged into the air with ease.

Additionally, if you consume some of the Natlan fruits on your way, you can unleash explosive projectiles, that helps you in combat and exploration.

And our third participant is the Tepetlisaurus.

This saurian is the perfect helper for the Children of the Echoes. It’s renowned for its mining prowess.

By indwelling a Tepetlisaurus you gain the ability to burrow underground, climb cliffs or access tunnels, which lie hidden from your eyes at first glance.

What’s new in 5.0?

The latest update takes place in Natlan, the nation of Pyro. There you can find a brand new unique resource known as Phlogiston. It exists in different forms an can be utilized by the locals for movement and combat.

For example when indwelling a saurian you can find an extra bar on the right side of it’s body. For the Natlan characters, the phlogiston bar appears above their health bar.

In addition, the constant flowing Phlogiston forms a pathway, named spiritways, where Koholasaurus and the People of the Springs (Mualani) can use for fast travel.

There is also an innovation called Nightsoul’s Blessing. This state is unique for the characters in Natlan and will increase their mobility and combat abilities.

Genshin Impact is celebrating its fourth anniversary and rewards its fans with lots of bonuses to celebrate during this version 5.0.

Even so comes a series of important system updates and optimizations to provide better gaming experience.

1. Visit Natlan in early/mid-game: Map unlock criteria – complete all Mondstadt Archon Quests and reach AR 19; Archon Quest unlock criteria – complete all of Liyue’s Archon Quests and reach AR 28
2. Limited-time bonus from Archon Quest: You can claim an extra 500 Primogems after completing Natlan Archon Quests during Version 5.0.
3. More bonus from returning Travelers: the returnee event Stellar Reunion may give you up to 10 more Intertwined Fates.
4. Artifact: A new tool “Sanctifying Elixir” to redeem artifacts with 1 designated main affix and 2 designated sub affixes. In addition, starting from Version 5.0, salvaging Artifacts can return you enhancement materials.
5. Character Event Wish: A new mechanism “Capturing Radiance” that has a rate of appearing during a 50/50 in Character Event Wishes. When it happens, the 5-star you get will be the current event-exclusive 5-star character.
6. Weapon Event Wish: The maximum amount of Fate Points in Weapon Event Wish is lowered from 2 to 1. Now, after you chart a course to a weapon, the second 5-star weapon will be guaranteed to be your chosen one if the first 5-star weapon is not.
7. World Level 9 launched now: After you reach Adventure Rank 58, you can complete Ascension Quest to increase your World Level from 8 to 9, facing more challenging combat with richer combat rewards.
8. Regional specialty tracking: By clicking on “Go to collect” at the source of regional specialties, you will be able to pinpoint the location range of regional specialties on the map.

This year the project Impact4Music which is founded by Genshin Impact drops by in Europe again.

With the total of 2 concerts you have the chance to listen to you favourite music from Genshin Impact.

Impact4Music aims to spread the culture of music and supports local talented orchestras and musicians.

The project is now globally available and any non-profit orchestra may apply to get selected original sheet of music of iconic titels, as well as other support depending on the needs and ideas of the orchestra.

You can visit these kinds of concerts this year in Vienna on 11^th of November and in Dortmund on 25^th November.
